World-Class Quality Control Standards for Onyx & Marble
World-Class Quality Control Standards for Onyx & Marble
At CRAFTIMUS, quality is not an accident; it is a disciplined process. We understand that importing Onyx Marble and Travertine from Pakistan requires absolute trust. Our 12-step “Zero-Defect” inspection protocol ensures that every slab, tile, and block meets international export standards. From the quarry to the container, we act as your eyes on the ground.
Premium Block Selection
Onyx Marble Quality Control starts at the source. Our geologists visit quarries personally to select the finest raw material. We reject blocks with deep internal cracks or inconsistent coloring. By securing the best raw Onyx blocks and Travertine rough blocks directly from the extraction site, we ensure a uniform base color and sound structure before processing even begins.
Precision Gangsaw Cutting
We use advanced Italian Gangsaw machinery to slice blocks into slabs. This ensures uniform thickness and reduces bowing. Unlike manual cutting, our automated process guarantees that every Onyx slab maintains a perfect geometric plane, preventing the “wavy” surface issues common in low-quality stone processing.
Epoxy Resin & Netting Treatment
Onyx, marble and travertine stones are naturally fragile. To ensure durability, we apply a high-grade fiberglass backing net and treat the slab surface with transparent, industrial-strength epoxy resin. This vacuum-sealed epoxy resin netting treatment penetrates the stone’s pores, solidifying the structure of Onyx. Marble and Travertine Slabs without altering their natural translucent beauty.
Gloss Meter & Polishing Checks
A mirror-like finish defines luxury. We do not rely on the naked eye. Our inspectors use digital gloss meters to verify the shine. We mandate a minimum 90+ degree gloss polish for all our marble and onyx slabs. If a slab reads below this standard, it is sent back for re-polishing until it meets our high-gloss criteria.
Travertine Pore & Hole Filling
Travertine tiles are characterized by natural voids. Depending on your order (Filled or Unfilled), we meticulously process these holes. For “Filled & Honed” orders, we use color-matched mastic or cement filler that blends seamlessly with the stone, ensuring a smooth, durable surface that is resistant to moisture and dirt accumulation.
90-Degree Rectified Cutting
For modern, seamless flooring, square edges are non-negotiable. We use laser-guided bridge cutters to ensure every tile has perfect 90-degree right angles. We check diagonal measurements on random samples to confirm they are perfectly square (Rectified), allowing for tight grout lines and a high-end finished look.
The "Dry Lay" Color Matching
Natural stone varies in shade. To prevent patchy flooring, we perform a Dry Lay inspection at our factory. We lay out the tiles on a large floor area and blend the color tones and vein patterns. We label crates by “Lot Number” so your installers can simply unpack and pave without worrying about mismatched marble color variation.
Final Sorting & Rejection
Before packing, we do a final “White Glove” check. Each piece is wiped down and inspected one last time. We separate “First Choice” (Export Grade) from “Commercial Grade” (Local Market). Only pristine, Onyx Marble Quality Control makes it into the wooden crates destined for the USA, UK, or Europe.
Digital Pre-Shipment Audit
We believe in total transparency. Before the container leaves our factory, we generate a comprehensive Quality Control Report. We send you high-resolution photos and videos of your specific material—showing the polish, the crates, and the measurements—so you can approve the stone quality inspection remotely before the final payment.
